ahhhhhhh i just finished my christmas shopping for dad. i got him some books and 2 seasons of the sopranos, i think he will enjoy. tomorrow i'm gonna take the metro in to work with dad and get stuff for my mom downtown.

this snowstorm, coupled with winter break, has made me starved for human contact. unfortunately it's so close to the holidays that nobody can really hang out. and i still haven't made plans for new year's - i got invited to hang out with someone i really hate, so i'm gonna try to avoid that, but i also don't want to just sit at home and do nothing. why don't people i like ever invite me to do shit? also, what's wrong with me that i haven't gotten my driver's license yet?

anyway, i bought volume 2 of dogs at borders. i don't even know what viz is doing with the translations. it really is like hank and bradley's adventures. they translated whatever it was that giovanni said to fruhling before they headed out as "Taking the lads out for a hike?"

WHAT? WHAT????? THAT SOUNDS SO FUCKING STUPID i mean is it intentional, them making badou sound like (even more of) a retard - and giovanni like the token homo? well, hey, the bright side is i get to see everything in its full scenic glory. also naoto's nakedness without jpg compression. :)

ah, and turns out that jumpsuit badou wore for a while is camouflage. who the fuck wears a camouflage jumpsuit is what i'd like to ask. with red hair and green clothes he's bound to look like a fucking eyepatched christmas tree. tis the season, i guess.
